Wooo! Update!

Bleh, I guess I'd better start using this again...

Hows life?

Well it definately aint bad. I got told unofficially by my boss that I have an 100% chance of being kept on after my contract ends. Which is good ^^

Hopefully once I do get permanent, I'll be able to think about my TA again, as it's basically been thrown aside whilst I work. The job will also allow me to get into another area I wanna pursue: Living History.

There's a lotta things bugging me at the moment however. Though I've got this job and so on, I still feel like there's something missing. Firstly, I think I need to get a girlfriend, it's something I've been putting off for too long now (and something that's showing no signs of happening naturally), mainly due to my severe lack of experience. Secondly, I've more or less renounced what little religion there was in my life, simply for the fact that Christianity doesn't work for me, I have nothing against it, or those who worship it, it just doesn't suit me as an individual. Thirdly, I need to get out from living here with my parents, the setup we have just aint working out.

Also, I keep getting the feeling that I'm waiting on something, dunno what, just something.
Anyhoo, that's basically a summery of what's richocheting  about in this empty skull of mine. :3

I'll stick the big version up on my website with the next (overdue) update.

Bleh, today I'm continuing the process of emptying my room at Uni. It's amazing how much crap I manage to accumulate in 2 terms. This is gonna be a big job x.x

Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest is out tomorrow, but I've decided I aint gonna go see it 'till my room is in order...which at this rate will be the late night showing.

On Friday I go away with my UOTC to Annual Camp for 2 weeks. It's at a place called Otterburn, so it should be good, at least for me! ^_^

Anyhoo...time for me to get back to work. *picks up shovel*

Random Quiz Thingies...

May. 8th, 2006 | 04:49 pm

I was bored and decided to take some of these internet quiz thingies....

- Human, Elf or Dwarf?

You are a Dwarf. You love beautiful things, but not to the point of being materialistic. You are honest and blunt, and not afraid speak out. You are not the most trusting race, but those you do trust have well earned it.

Take it here: http://quizilla.com/users/LuthienTinuviel7/quizzes/Elf%2C%20Human%2C%20or%20Dwarf/

Yay, Dwarves rule! Least I wasn't a pansie elf. **Doesn't like elves**

I am 38% Evil Genius.
I Want to be Evil!
I want to be evil. I do evil things. But given the opportunity, and a darn good reason I may turn to the good side. Besides I am probably a miserable evil genius.

What Animal Would Your Daemon Settle As?

Your WOLF DAEMON shows that you are solitary, ferocious, and often intimidating, but not without your sufficient loyalty and poise. People tend to misunderstand you, but you prefer your own company, anyway.
Take this quiz!

Sharpe's back!

Apr. 24th, 2006 | 04:15 pm

Finally got round to updating this thing!

There's been something that's been on my mind for a while and that is my thoughs, regarding anti-war protestors. In short, I have absolutely no time for them. The way I see it these societies should have a high respect for the military forces, but instead they bombard them with a constant stream of abuse. An examle is my Universities Anti-War society. They hate our UOTC, blaming us for forcing people to join the army and for somehow tainting students. They've called for the University to unassociate itself with us. This angers me for many reasons but the strongest being this. In WWI, volunteer members of our UOTC formed a 'U Company Gordan Highlanders'. Most of these young lads, no older than me didn't return. Those who did, went on to become some of the highest academic achievers of the University. The only reason these groups can sit and attack the armed forces is because of the sacrifice of the thousands of men who have paid the ultimate price for upholding these liberties.

A man should love peace, but if he cannot fight with all his heart then he will not have peace. – Bernard Cornwell ‘Excalibur’

My Easter Holidays were good fun. I was down in Wales with my OTC on an adventure training weekend. It was VERY wet. Warm, but wet..So as you can imagine I had a great time! The activities included rock climbing, powerboating, land yaughting and coast steering. Coast-steering is making your way along the coastling at the line where the water meets the rock, and so is rather wet and exciting! We also climbed Snowdon, the second highest mountain in Britain (Ben Nevis is the highest, which of course, is in Scotland). I've found out that my name has been put forward for the Mountain Leadership Training course, which basically qualifies me to take groups onto the mountainside.

Last night was the first part of the new Sharpe movie starring Sean Bean. I'm a fan of the Sharpe books and films, and so far this one hasn't dissapointed, and so I'm looking forward to the conclusing tonight!

Also went to see the musical 'Mama Mia'. I was a wee bit apprehensive at first, but I really enjoyed it! If yeh get the chance to, I really reccommend seeing it!

I'm about to enter the exam period so I'm doing quite a bit of studying at the moment.

Anyhoo, that's me done for now!

Bye all!

Weee finally got around to getting myself a new copy of Grandia for the Playstation 1. This was the first RPG I ever played and is widely regarded as one of the best RPGs ever. The thing I love about this game is just the sheer fun of playing it, unlike other RPGs, like the Final Fantasy series, this game relies more on storyline and characters than on graphics and cinematics. It has a fun battle system which I reckon beats every other RPG I've played on whatever system. I'm on my third replay, not to unlock secrets, not to max the characters but just to enjoy seeing the story unfold once again. It's like a good film or movie in that sense, and is the only RPG thats had me really feeling for the characters. I really can't recommend this game highly enough, for those that want a good, cheap game that'll keep them entertained for hours!

In other news, I got roped into being in the UOTC shooting team, I'm quite a good shot so I should be okay.

Anyhoo, can't think of anything else to say so I'll just shut up now!

Scotland the Great!!!

Feb. 25th, 2006 | 07:43 pm

Today Scotland faced off against 'the Auld Enemy', England at rugby today. During a very closely fought game the Scots triumphed over the World Champions with a score of 18-12! We knocked them out from winning the Grand Slam, and I won gloating rights over my English acquaintances. Overall it's been a good day!

Passed my TCB brief, I've been told to come back for the board in 12 months. It was a very good weekend, I learnt alot about my strengths and weaknesses and how I can improve myself. I also learnt that 12 hour minibus journeys should be avoided at all costs...

Put some of my website up, you can check it out here: http://www.freewebs.com/eddy_otter/

Also uploaded some of my artwork, it can be viewed in the 'art' section of the Furry Teens forum here: http://lupinia.us/furryteens/forum/. Please tell me what you think, tell me you think it's crap if that what you think, I won't hold grudges. ^_^

Anyhoo that's all for now!

'..and stood against him.

and sent him homewards,
